Sunbrella fabric is water-repellant. If kept dry, it will not support the growth of mildew as natural fiber will. Depending on depth of color, Sunbrella fabrics provide up to 98% UV protection. Whites and lighter colored fabrics provide less protection than darker fabrics. This protective factor is inherent to the product and will not diminish through use or exposure to the sun.

This is a beautiful, well-crafted hammock. My husband noticed that immediately upon pulling it out of the box. Nice that it comes with the hardware as well. He had it up within minutes and loves it already. Really cool that it's made in America. You can really see the quality!

Very comfortable. Stylish colors match well with a coastal setting. Highly recommended for hours of relaxation. The only thing missing is someone fanning you with a palm frond.

Q1: 2 questions - would the sunbrella hammock be better for a wooded area and can I hang this quilted one(toh011) from a tree
A: Yes - you can hang from a tree and the Sunbrella works great anywhere outside since it's got a UV-protectant - it cuts down on fading by 98% compared to non-Sunbrella outdoor fabric colors. The Sunbrella also repels water so it helps to prevent mildew build-up. For wooded areas - if you are concerned about birds - we do have a fabric cleaner - KWP003 you could use, otherwise it's just spot cleaning with warm soapy water and hang dry.
Q2: Does this product hold heat and make it uncomfortable in the Florida heat? If so what two person hammock would be best for high heat?
A: This product will heat up to a point, but not to the point that it would become uncomfortable. Any hammock that we have will heat up slightly but not to the point of it becoming uncomfortable. For overall heat the sunbrella fabric would be the best, followed by cotton. But all fabric’s will heat up slightly in direct sun light.
Q3: Are the ropes made of cotton or nylon?
A: The ropes on the Twin Oaks Rainforest Quilted Sunbrella Fabric Hammock are nylon.
