Mowing the lawn isn't such a pain anymore. I no longer complain when I have to pull weeds. That's because I know my hammock is waiting for me when my work is done.

I've had my Island Bay Comfort Weave Hammock for over three years now, and it's as enjoyable today as it was the day I brought it home. The fabric integrity and color have held up remarkably well, even though I've left it out in the rain more times than I'd like to admit. This fabric dries quickly and it cleans up easily when birds make an unwelcome mess. Perhaps best of all, the waffle weave keeps the fabric cool and breathable, even in August's humidity.

I use the 15 Ft. Hammock Stand for Spreader Bar Hammocks. With its heavy-duty steel construction and powder-coat finish, the stand, too, has weathered the elements well. Moving the stand from one patch of cool shade to the next is easy- just a matter of getting my wife to carry one end (admittedly not that easy) or quickly disassembling it into three manageable sections (my usual method). The dark green finish blends in with the lawn and looks nice on the deck.

Spreader bars were definitely the right choice. These make it possible to get in and out of the hammock with minimal effort- an aspect not to be overlooked for anyone who's ever been tangled in a non-spreader bar hammock. And the size of this hammock is perfect. There's plenty of room when my wife wants to join me...if our two beagles don't beat her to it, that is. But to be honest, I like it best when I have my hammock all to myself.
