Sometimes you just need a good place to relax and unwind. The XXL Hand Woven Caribbean Stripe Thick String Hammock lets you do that alone or with whole family. Surprisingly lightweight, this hammock is capable of holding three plus people, and has an impressive weight capacity of 750 lbs. Thick, cotton strings give this hammock its strength and its comfort. It will wrap you all up in complete bliss. You should use this hammock with a stand designed for use with non-spreader bar hammocks or with tree straps. In the off season, it bundles up nicely for compact storage.
We recommend: The XXL Thick String Mayan Hammock is most comfortable lying alone or lengthwise. People of lower weight and smaller size, or groups of people can lie in the Dangerously Comfortable position, across the width of the hammock.

Comments about XXL Hand Woven Caribbean Stripe Thick String Hammock:
Fabulous. Big. Soft strings. Breathable. High load rating. Fun colors! Purchased with tree ropes and hammock sock. Put it between columns in our family room lol!! Summer has been too hot to enjoy this outside, so I (temporarily?) hung it indoors until we turn the AC off. The hammock sock fits this hammock in length and girth. My delivery arrived without one of the tree ropes, but the hammocks.com rep made good in a hurry. Overall I am so pleased with the product and service. I recommend! Comments about XXL Hand Woven Caribbean Stripe Thick String Hammock:
This is our third Caribbean hammock. Our first one was bought over 25 years ago. It too was a cotton hammock. We used it every summer at our cabin - when our grandson came to visit, we'd rock him to sleep in it. After 10 years we finally had to throw it away - too many holes, the weave was unraveling and the cotton was getting very tired. It was like losing an old friend. We decided to buy a nylon woven hammock - BIG MISTAKE. It just wasn't as comfortable. Yes, it lasted over 15 years, but because it wasn't as comfortable, we didn't use it as much. We finally gave it away. We've been without a hammock for several years, but this summer we decided to buy another cotton woven Caribbean hammock. We know that it won't last as long as a nylon hammock, but the joy is in the comfort and isn't that what having a hammock is all about? We know that when this one wears out, we'll just buy another one. It's worth every penny.

Q1: We live in Florida. How long will the color last before fading?
A: The xxl Hand Woven Caribbean Stripe Thick String Hammock is made out of surface dyed cotton string. This just means that the strings are colored with dye and hot water. With the Florida sun, I fear that the color will fade faster as opposed to a solution dyed hammock. To preserve your hammock, I recommend storing during times of inclement weather and during the cold season. For best preserved results you could store hammock whenever the hammock is not in use.
