With its attractive curved spreader bar, this hammock is as new to you as it is to us. Curved wood spreader bars in a light, natural finish support the hand-woven cotton bed of this hammock. Thick string is used making it extra comfortable, and you'll love the fringed details crafted by expert artisans. In fact, because they are hand-made, fringes may vary slightly. Up to two people can relax at once on this hammock, and it's capable of supporting up to 540 lbs. Hanging hardware is sold separately.

        The weave on this one is nice. It is tight and your arms/elbows can't get stuck between the weave. For one person the curved design is extremely stable and comfortable. It does make reaching out of the hammock for a drink a bit more difficult. Although it can support two people, it's not comfortable given the curved design. You are totally on top of each other and you cannot just relax. The curved design also means that it hangs extremely low. My hammock stand (fairly standard size) is extended as far as it will go and the hammock is almost on the ground with just one 175 lb person in it. With two people or a heavier individual you're on the ground. Hang it high on trees or beware if you have a standard stand. Overall it's pretty nice given the price. It's good for a single-person hammock.

        My wife fell in love with the look of this hammock, and I agree with that.

        I am a big guy, 275#, and the hammock closes in on me as if it did not have any bars on the ends. The weave is also quite stretchy. Whatever you do, do not get on them when they are damp or you will hit the ground. If you are under 180# it will probably be okay.

        The bars are a multi layer laminate and the drill holes for the loops are sloppily drilled with chipped out pieces. I am not sure if I can get 2 seasons out of this. Time will tell.

        I think these will be reserved for the kids and I will be purchasing a straight rail, cloth hammock bed as a replacement for myself.

        Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

        IT WAS A GIFT AND REALLY EASY TO SET UP THE THE KIDS LOVED IT. IT WAS A LITTLE TO STRETCHY SO WE NEED A BETTER STAND.
