This one is great for some time alone. The Large Hand Woven Mayan Hammock, in its unique design, allows you to mold perfectly into its soft cotton or nylon body. With a bed length of 7 feet 4 inches, and a bed width of 7 feet, this hammock is best enjoyed alone. It's the perfect personal hammock for a teen or small adult. This hammock is ideal for the backyard, the beach, or backpacking. Mayan hammocks are handmade and come in a variety of colors. The body is woven with cotton or nylon and has nylon string ends on both material options. This hammock also has a metal reinforced loop end for greater strength and durability.

The color is great, it is comfortable, durable and soft.I got the cotton as the nylon doesn't give and cradle as well.
I will order this one again should I ever need to replace this one.

I'm very satisfied with this - and my boys love it. Some things to watch out for though: I didn't realize that the "small - 1 person" is really only about 4' wide. In my mind, I was remembering the ones my dad used to have when I was growing up. If you want to lie in your hammock cross-wise, or lie in it with a child next to you, don't get the small. Also, this style of hammock does get caught on the buttons on my boys cargo pants - best to instruct kids to keep their shoes off it, and make sure their clothing doesn't have tons of buttons.

What can I say...tie it up and get in. Seems really well made and the price was right. Definately a one person hammock. I'm 5'6" and using it "sideways" is fine but if I were taller I'd buy a larger one. That is...if you like to use them that way.

Q1: Do you sell ropes or attachments for attaching your hammock to trees? How durable and long

A: We have several options - item# - NE003, has a pair of tree straps, each measuring 10 ft. 5 in., 2 "S" hooks for attachment and can support up to 750 lbs.Item# EC148 is a pair of tree straps, each measuring 65L x 1.5W inches. The tree straps are rated to hold 350 lbs. This item does not include the "S" hooks.Item# NE007 - is a set of 2 eyelets, spring links and 2 lengths of 6.5 ft. ropes to hang your hammock.

Q2: In our moist climate, what material will be best - cotton or nylon?

A: Nylon hammocks will stand up better to the outdoor elements.

Q3: Do I buy cotton or nylon?

A: Hammocks made from cotton are extremely comfortable and soft. Cotton as a material will move and breathe with you. The color of cotton will be a natural, soft color and not a bright white or brilliant hue. If comfort is your driver – cotton is the choice for you. As cotton is a natural material, it will fade over time with the sun’s UV rays and if left out to the elements, will show deterioration and wear sooner than it’s nylon counterpart. Ideally, cotton hammocks are used on a covered porch or area protected from elements. If you plan to keep your hammock inside for sleeping, cotton is the hands down winner. Hammocks made from nylon provide virtually unsurpassed durability. As a synthetic material, nylon provides the ability to produce beautiful and vibrant color hues. The nylon hammock will stand up to the elements extremely well, retain their color longer than cotton and the weave is incredibly strong. However, nylon does not have the same soft and comfortable feel of cotton and some consider nylon to be a bit stiff in comparison. If you want a low maintenance hammock that will last for years, nylon hammocks will fit the bill nicely.

Q4: I have a hammock stand that is 11 feet 6 inches long. What size hammock should I purchase?
