All through my childhood, during the summers, my favorite past time was to lay in the hammock with my cat as the sun set. As an older hectic adult now - the only true comfortable spot is a hammock [...]This nylon parachute hammock - is amazingly lightweight, has a real smooth material. It is solid deep blue - which is refreshing as I don't like mixture of loud colors which is visually annoying for me. Best part, it's very easy to clean. When it's time to pack away the hammock - I was so pleased of how fast I could stuff the material inside its ready pouch with drawstring and locking 'knob'. This is coming with me everywhere I travel! The only thing that was not pleasant no matter how careful I positioned the hammock - when I sat in it, the middle section got very tight and rose up while the sides relaxed... so my legs dangled over to the sides. I cannot lean to my left or right... however, I think it has to be due to a skinny pole it's hanging from that is bunching the one side of the hammock. I can sit still in it just enough to read a book but not sleep inside it as I may roll over and go splat! ;) If anyone knows how to resolve the one end being too taunt, please let me know. Overall, I still love this light weight, nifty portable hammock and colorful, thin, smooth ropes. Thank you for making my summer season a lot more leisurely in my own back yard. :)

I loved it the first night...I slept like a baby compared to sleeping on the ground/sleeping pad in a tent. But it didn't last through my entire 4-day backpacking trip. The hammock ripped completely down the middle on the second day of use. A tiny 1/8-inch hole, apparently created by a zipper or sharp object in my pack, caused a huge sudden tear in the hammock while a friend was carefully getting on it to 'test it' during the day. He is not that heavy (180 lbs)...certainly under the rated strength stated by the manufacturer (250 lbs). I had to sleep on the ground the next two nights. The nylon used is thin and vulnerable to small holes which can cause sudden and catastrophic failure!

Bought this a week ago and tested it on a camping trip for a few days. VERY comfy and enough material you can wrap it over yourself if it gets buggy! Wish it would have come with the hanging ropes in the video though. I didn't read the ad close enough and assumed they were included. Fortunately [@]has camo cord that matched for about $5. I made the ropes the way they did in the video. Works great and seems durable!

The only good thing about this hammock is that it OS eassy to put away and stow, but it is made from a poor fabric n is a lot smaller than the picture it shows. Not satisfied at all.

A: The UltraLight Travel Hammock weighs just 10 oz. and is the lightest hammock we have available.
Q2: What size does this hammock pack down to? I'm a backpacker so need it to be small in size not just weight. Thanks very much.
A: This folds down to a 5 x 5 size, around 4 inches thick. It's a touch smaller than a football.
Q3: Do you have a hammock for my portable camping stand?
A: The dimensions for this hammock are 9.5 ft. L x 4.5 ft. W and it needs a hanging distance between 8 - 20 Ft.
