We really want you to loaf around in your hammock for the sheer, decadent joy of it. It's a lost art, something we all did naturally as kids. But the paradox of accomplishing nothing is that it actually accomplishes a lot.

Stress can be useful to you, especially if you're stressed over something you can control, like starting a new job or giving a speech. But even good stress wears you out over time. Dealing with chronic stress is the single most influential key to health and well-being, and the ability to relax is fundamental to avoiding and even curing stress-related diseases. When we relax, we repair.

How does that work? Stress clenches the body. Relaxation decreases muscle tension and thus increases blood flow. More blood flow, more repair. Relaxation also introduces pleasure-inducing chemicals to the body which also fight the damage introduced by tension.
