After doing a couple nights of massive shopping around and reading reviews of overpriced cheap hammocks from big box hardware stores and under-built stands from department stores i went with hammock.com. I found a stand and hammock after some poking around right in my entry level budget. (first time buying a hammock) The stand arrived first, after staring at the instructions for a few seconds i was able to assemble the stand.[...] The only sad part was the hammock wasnt here yet to test it out, but it arrived the next day and took a few seconds to be swinging and relaxing!

The fittings are not tight. I had to wedge shims in between the large gaps in the connections to keep the thing silent when rocking and to keep the poles from pivoting at the joints. I would trade more difficult setup for solid bolts at joints any day. Also got some rain and saw rust first day of use.

                    Q1: I have a 15ft hammock stand, but I'm not sure what size of hammock I need, can you help?

                    A: You would look for a hammock with a total length of 12 to 15 ft. If you are looking for a rope hammock - check out HIB01 or HIB03, fabric/quilted - ALZ079 or ALZ078 for quilted, DP079 for fabric.

                    Q2: How much does this stand weigh?

                    A: Our best selling metal 15 ft. Hammock Stand for Spreader Bar Hammocks weighs approximately 50 lbs. We also sell a wheel kit for hammock stands that makes moving your stand quick and easy if you don't have an extra helping hand.

                    Q3: Can this stand be easily disassembled for storage off season?

                    A: Yes - the arms of the stand can be un-clicked and slipped off to remove. The biggest part of the stand - the base - would take up the most room if you don't disassemble or unbolt the bottom center support beam which runs between the bottom stabilizing legs.

                    Q4: Why does the title say 15 ft. but the description says 13 - 15 ft.?

                    A: The 15 ft. includes the "wingspan" of the stand - as the two arms extend out an additional foot on each side - beyond the 13 ft. base.

                    Q5: I have a 154.5 inch spreader bar hammock and need a new stand. Will this one work?
