    A bit unusual application of the product. We actually are using the hammock for our Autistic Son. We have the hammock folded in half and swing him in the hammock to help him relax. It works great! He loves it and our outher children love swinging in it too. I love that this kit came with the hinged hooks that makes it easy to take hammock up and down.

    Does the Job, Needs Instructions

    This is the right equipment to hang your hammock with. The description says it is stainless, so I will assume it won't rust. Haven't had it long enough to know.

    This is the right equipment to hang your hammock with. The description says it is stainless, so I will assume it won't rust. Haven't had it long enough to know.

    I was very disappointed they did not include some instructions. Hammock.com has great guidelines on proper hanging distance for your hammock - those should be printed and included with the product, plus guidelines on how to knot the ropes. If your posts are not the right hanging distance, you can use the ropes to adjust to the correct distance ... but you need to know how to tie the proper knot. There are knot sites on the web you can reference for this, but the kit should include instructions.

    This part is a good value. I wanted to set up a second spot for hanging my hammock. I looked at the exact same hardware purchased separately at Home Depot, and it would cost more than buying this kit.

      This rope broke with under 350 lbs. It was rate at 450 and was purchased with a two person hammock. It snapped it about 30 seconds. My wife and I crashed to the ground. It took 4-5 days for our ribs to stop hurting. my money should be refunded.

      Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

      I hung a rope hammock in my daughter's play room and wanted to make sure it was secure. This product is a very sturdy, reliable product. Does creak when rocking though... which is often because I can't get my kid out of the chair! She loves it! Definitely worth the $!
