I have fiberglass columns under my porch and wasn't sure if they would support the old "hooks" traditionally used for hammocks, but when I found these, it worked perfectly. The straps fit securely around the columns and gives wider band of support than hooks at a single entry point. Also, they leave no damage to the column as a hook would. I didn't even know a device such as these existed, but glad I found them. Now I can enjoy my hammock very easily and worry free.

I noticed that the stitching on my first set of straps was somewhat loose but since I was using much less than recommended weight, I was not that concerned. The stitching came undone and my wife and I fell to the ground! They sent me a second set that appears to be much better constructed but my wife is now afraid to get in hammock so I have reinforced with rope, etc. BE CAREFUL WITH THESE!
