Let me put ALL misconceptions to rest. First of all... if you have 1 hammock, just order quantity of ONE. Two Tie Downs will arrive in the mail, and don't call customer service, they will tell you that you will only receive 1 tie down per quantity ordered. That's NOT true! You will receive TWO!!! Based on several other reviews that I read, I hesitantly ordered a Quantity of Two just to be on the safe side, therefore, I am now the proud owner of 2 sets of Tie Downs. Second of all... These are Great; period! Third of all... Best price on the market to date!!! :)

I purchased the tie down straps with my new hammock, for the price it was a safe bet. There are two straps and I have them at opposite ends which keeps the hammock from spinning in the Oklahoma wind.
One end of the strap has a loop for attachment to the bar against the ground while the other end is just a cut end. It would be nice if the other end had velcro on it so you didn't have to see an ugly knot on the hammock. A color other than black would be nice, maybe white/tan so it would blend in. Also, one of my loops was sewn wrong so it won't lay flat, it looks like the material got twisted while sewing and nobody caught that.
The product works as advertised, it could just use a little refining.
